Yaning Ma

Yaning is an articling student at the firm with experience in corporate and commercial matters across Greater China and North America. She earned her LL.B. from Tsinghua University with outstanding academic distinction and subsequently obtained her LL.M. from the University of Toronto.

Yaning's work encompasses a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including initial public offerings, corporate financing, corporate governance and general corporate advisory work. She is also actively involved in commercial litigation, assisting clients with a variety of business disputes. In addition, Yaning is responsible for the firm's data privacy and compliance practice, advising businesses on privacy, data protection and cross-border data compliance matters.

Yaning joined the firm in 2025 as a Legal Consultant. Prior to that, she summered at leading international law firms in Beijing, where she focused on capital markets and data compliance.
