THC Lawyers Attends and Supports the 2026 East CACS Annual Conference
THC Lawyers congratulates the Chinese American Chemical Society – East Chapter (East CACS) on the success of its 45th Anniversary Annual Conference, held on June 6, 2026, at Rutgers University’s Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy in Piscataway, New Jersey. The firm was pleased to attend and to sponsor the conference for the third consecutive year, continuing its support for a community connecting chemistry, chemical engineering, and pharmaceutical innovation.
Under the theme “Innovating Chemistry Together: 45 Years of Excellence,” the conference brought together researchers, industry professionals, students, and entrepreneurs for scientific exchange and professional connections. The programme marked 45 years of the society and the 150th anniversary of the American Chemical Society, combining keynote presentations with specialized discussions, career development activities, and opportunities to connect across disciplines.

Dr. Ran He, Founder of THC Lawyers and a member of the East CACS Executive Committee, chaired the AI in Pharmaceuticals session. The discussion explored the opportunities and practical challenges of applying artificial intelligence to pharmaceutical research and development. THC Lawyers extends its thanks to the session’s speakers for sharing their expertise and offering perspectives on how AI may shape scientific work and the pharmaceutical industry.

This year’s conference also introduced a redesigned conference handbook, improvements to the meeting format, and parallel thematic forums for the first time. These initiatives, developed under the society’s leadership, gave attendees a wider choice of topics and more opportunities for focused discussion. They reflected East CACS’s continued commitment to adapting its programmes to the interests and needs of its members.
For THC Lawyers, supporting East CACS is an opportunity to stay connected with the scientists, founders, and industry professionals advancing new ideas. Dr. He’s scientific training and legal practice inform the firm’s interest in the relationship between research, intellectual property, business development, and international collaboration. We value the opportunity to learn from this community and contribute to its growth. Our colleagues, Dr. Jiatong Liu, Ms. Yanan Li, and Ms. Sharon Zhang, also attended the conference. Dr. Liu led the career development session and made important contributions to the success of the conference.
We thank East CACS’s leadership, fellow Executive Committee members, speakers, volunteers, and attendees for making the conference possible. We also extend special thanks to our THC Lawyers colleagues who devoted their summer weekend to conference preparation and on-site support.
THC Lawyers looks forward to continuing its relationship with East CACS and supporting further exchange and collaboration across chemistry, chemical engineering, and the life sciences. Congratulations to the society on this anniversary milestone and a successful annual conference.
